I spoke with my Credit Union today and it looks like I’ll be rolling on some new wheels soon!
I’m going out this weekend to a few Dealers that guys at work recommended. This one is first on the list though. It’s a 2009 F150 XLT 4x4 with 50,000 miles. I’m not sure about the interior though. It’s the standard grey cloth which doesn’t go well when transporting a Black Dog as often as I do.
Im pretty set on a 2007-12 F truck and I’m not dead set on this one. Brown or Black exterior is mandatory though.
This is pretty big for me. It’ll be the biggest and nicest purchase since my Divorce. I’m not getting too excited though. I won’t have guaranteed approval until the fifth but I’m feeling good about it!

I hope it goes well! As someone else who has been looking at trucks, I’m wondering what got you looking at the F-150s over Silverados? I’ve been seeing some Silverados that are looking really tempting. Sweet looking truck though.

As someone who works with Silverados, it’s because they are garbage.

Its almost all vanity. I like the exterior and interior of the Fords more.
We have Silverados at work all in a decent trim. They look good but they also look big. They drive like they’re bigger than they are too. We have a 1500, 2500 and 3500 dump and they all feel like 4wd is engaged all the time. And the interiors are atrocious. The dash plastic has so much texture its like a relief map of a 90 year old smoker’s upper lip. GM has the Upper hand in powertrain but Ford has a better package.

Could you elaborate? Like they break down or is it more of what birddog is saying that you feel the interior is poor?

Hmmm, glad to get an informed opinion. I’ve just been looking online so far, I guess I really should take a trip down to the dealers and check them out in person. It’s hard to really tell the difference between pictures online.

A little of both, I’ve been stranded multiple times in the past couple of months in them. We’ve had multiple Chevy’s in my family, because of what I’ve seen and dealt with, I drive a Ford.
